It’s true…
This past week sure was a quick one…it’s true. I guess learning so much everyday makes the week go by extremely fast.
I taught my first lesson for my Elementary Education Methods class about the food pyramid! I teamed up with three other people and spent about two hours teaching third graders. It was amazing!!! We actually had them pretend to be different types of food and they had to place themselves in the food pyramid. I mean, who would not want to be a fruit. We even started our lesson with a song/rap about the five food groups. I think they really enjoyed it. It was challenging, however extremely beneficial. It is amazing to to see the excitement come over the student’s faces and see their understanding form. It makes everything worth it.
We also played broomball again! We had a bigger group go this time, and we actually got a little rough and ended up breaking about five of our ten sticks…I think we might need to go back to Wal-mart to purchase some more sticks. This time might have even been more fun becasue we played around 9:00 PM, so it was really dark.
Our praise team plays at Sunday Night at East, this coming Sunday. In case you are not familiar with what this is, it is a student lead worship service that occurs Sunday nights that is an opportunity to worship before the week begins. Unfortunaely though, we start practice during the Super Bowl, so we are all going over to someone’s townhome to watch it after we play.
