Majorlicious
Last Friday I finally declared a major in the Studio Arts. I also declared minors in both Theatre and Spanish. One of my classes that I am taking for my new major is 3D foundations.
For the past two weeks we’ve been working on designing and creating an abstract object that only represents itself. It’s been difficult, but that has been what’s made it fun.
I first thought about what it should look like, but that didn’t get me anywhere. So then I went and searched for materials to make it out of. I found little bar-like things and window blinds.
Once I started to think how to use these, the ideas started flowing like a river at the foot of a moutain in spring. I’ve tried many different arrangements with the blinds and the bar like things. I finally have it figured out.
I now have something in the works. These pictures are actually of my assignment. I think the bottom one looks like a treble clef.
I’m excited about how it’s turning out and that I finally have a major.
