M & M’s (Moorhead and movies anyone?)
It’s getting closer to one of the two busiest weeks of the semester. Guess what, its finals week… YAY!
Last semester being exposed to the finals system for the first time, I wasn’t quite sure what I needed to do, to be prepared.
But this time I am all set. I’ve started studying and working on my papers a week ahead (that doesn’t happen often).
Finals in college aren’t like the ones in high school. They actually need to be studied for… ahead of time.
I have about three finals coming up, a lab test and also a paper due. Just to make sure that the stress doesn’t get to me, friend and me baked cookies last night, for the first time in our dorm kitchen. Initially, we had some technical difficulties but we figured it out.We also managed not to set the fire alarm off. The cookies turned out to be great. I figured that it was the best stress relieving thing that I had ever done.
There are so many other things we can do in Moorhead. My personal favorite is going out for a movie with a bunch of friends. We have about three theatres in the Fargo- Moorhead area. Safari is my favorite theatre because it is the smallest one in the area. I go there so often that I don’t even keep track of when I went there last or what movie I saw. I watched ‘The Holiday’ last weekend at safari and it was a really good movie. To me, college isn’t all about having fun but it is a very important part of it.
