ProScouts hallSpring Break is upon us and what do I do?  I sign up for more hours at the museum.  To me, Spring Break seems more like a good time to relax and earn money.  I was planning on leaving for my sister’s state basketball games this weekend, but the weather is bad.  However, tonight I got to participate in, what I think is, one of the coolest things in the world.

Last night as I drove to the mall I heard an add for an open call thing at the Ramada Inn.  So I wrote down the internet address and researched a little when I got back to my room.  I learned that it was free, I didn’t need anything but my person, a.k.a. “me,” and that I didn’t have anything better to do on a night of Spring Break on campus.

So tonight after work I left for this “Ramada Inn.”  I was excited because it sounded like fun, yet nervous because of the mystery of it all.  “Will I be picked?  What if I am?  What it I’m not?”  These questions started to rapidly flow through my mind.

When I got there everyone was filling out these sheets, so I followed suit and filled out one too.  The doors opened and we were all invited into the conference room.  Here a guy named Alex told us that we had a 20 second interview with him and the lady.  They’d ask us questions and then either give us a playing card or a “maybe next time.”  If we got a card we were choosen to stick around for more information.

When it was my turn to be interviewed, Alex asked about my acting class and I informed him of my college acting expieriences.  Near the end he asked me if I was nervous, which I was, so I responded, “A little.”  He then told me how the interview was crucial to landing an agent, and that he’d give me “two months to work on it…”  Then he handed me an Ace of Spades. The Card

This means that I have been invited to participate in an agent convention thing.  Thankfully I attend Concordia where the spring semester ends by May.  This means that I won’t have to worry about school .  Now all I have to do is fill out the form and apply.  Good thing I stayed here for Spring Break.
