Spring Break in Stars Hollow! (or a television in Valley City, North Dakota)

tvwatching2.jpg What are the two most glorious words in a college student’s vocabulary? SPRING BREAK!!!

That’s right, we get a whole week to do nothing school related! It truly is a beautiful thing!

While most people I know are going off to exotic locations or touring the country; I get to sit at home and watch television!

I know I already used the word glorious, but I’m running out of effect words.

My break has not been all fun and television; I actually have accomplished some things. I took a shift at my local Subway; I made sandwiches for 4 hours.

My presence behind the counter was a fun distraction but I think a lot of people in Valley City now think I have dropped out of college and I just want to work at Subway for the rest of my life. This rumor is not true for your information! I love Concordia, why would I want to drop out?

Oh, and I shoveled! A lot! Unless you are not from the Midwest, you are very aware of the torrential snowfall!

All I have had to do with my non-shoveling/sandwich making time is watch movies and TV shows. With all of my free time, I have been able to finally catch up on my favorite TV shows that I own on DVD. As of Thursday at 2 p.m., I had watched 10 episodes of Gilmore Girls and 12 of Charmed. In the picture, I am watching the 6th season of Gilmore Girls with my friend and fellow Cobber Melody!

Also, I am single handedly funding the video store’s remodel. Since I have been home, I have rented Hollywoodland, Sherrybaby, Running With Scissors, Cars, Saw III, March of the Penguins, Farce of the Penguins, Strangers with Candy, Man of the Year, and Jesus Camp.

As you can tell my break has been a blast, but I am actually looking forward to going back to school.
