Beans Across the Street…
The smell of sweet coffee aroma fills the air as you sink into a comfy couch. Soft music and decorative lighting fill the drapery walled rooms.
These are the sights and sounds of Selah Coffee House. Located only a few blocks from Concordia, Selah is the perfect place for a study session.
Last night I went to Selah with a few friends. My friend Heather was working as well (She is in the pictures).
Selah is located in an old house on 8th Street in Moorhead. You walk into the entry room on wooden floors to the smell of coffee. The small counter offers a variety of sandwiches and snack foods. Usually, there is only one person working. The workers are very kind and helpful.
At Selah’s you can get any kind of coffee drink available, including some Selah’s
originals like “Screaming Monkey” and “Black Forest.” I chose to experience a new coffee drink called a Breve. I know it is not new, but it was the first time I have had one. Wow, that was a good cup of joe.
My friends and I sat at a round glass table and interrupted our homework with conversation. One of the best parts about college is studying with friends. It makes studying so much more enjoyable.
The nice thing about Concordia is the location. Many different places to eat and hang out are within walking distance away. There are a few coffee shops, pizza places, a Dairy queen and others.
Gooseberry Park is a favorite as well. Located a few blocks south of campus, this riverside park is great for picnics, playing football or Frisbee and hanging out with friends. There are a lot of trails that run alongside the river.
Now that spring is here, I am excited to dust off the rollerblades and take a spin on the trails. Have a great weekend everyone. Stayed tuned. More fun adventures to come!
