It least we were not cold…
The only thing that could have been more disappointing about last night’s Twins game was if we were sitting outside. It was cold out and sitting outside would have been miserable.
Lucky for us we were inside the giant bubble called the Metrodome. In a few years the Twins will play baseball outside, like the game is supposed to be played.
I am excited for the new stadium, but on freezing cold nights when we are losing to the Yankees, I don’t mind being inside.
Easter break was great! I was able to catch up on sleep. One night I slept almost 11 hours! I have not done that in a long time. I was able to hang out with the family and my brother.
Church was really good on Easter Sunday and then we had a great lunch over at my Grandparents’ house. Monday was a fun day too. I went to lunch with some friends and then a bunch of people from school went to the Twins game.
There was some heavy traffic going to the game, but we still got pretty good seats. I even saw some friends from camp that I have not seen in awhile.
The Twins started the game off on a bad foot, trailing the Yankees 0-3 after the first inning. It only went downhill from there. The Twins pitcher, Ponson struggled to find a rhythm.
Twins hitters could not get anything going and they only produced two runs. It was not enough to match the Yankees’ eight runs. The Metrodome lacked excitement and was more quiet than usual. Having a bunch of friends there made the game fun.
Overall, I was glad I had the chance to go. It may one of the only Twins games I get to see this year.
In other news, graduation is coming soon! Stayed tuned for some of my last posts as a Cobber!
