Spring/summer is finally here!

winter's gone, summer's here!School is almost out and the weather has been absolutely gorgeous for more than three days in a row this time! What could make the end of the year even better? CORNSTOCK! I am not a hundred percent sure what it is, but from what I’ve heard I think it’s a music festival. It’s an all day event and there are several bands coming to perform on campus. Unfortunately we can’t take our cameras with us . Everyone has been making plans to go to it on Saturday and what do I have planned? Work! I still did get a ticket though, incase I feel like going after work.

The other exciting event on campus is cricket matches all day on Saturday too. I am not sure how many of played cricket or even heard of it. It’s a game similar to baseball except sometimes it can get awfully boring. I shouldn’t be saying that because I am Indian and cricket is like the most popular game in India! I have played cricket a long time back so I might go try my luck there this weekend. See if I can hit at least one ball flying at me!

It is also ‘Earth Week’ at Concordia. We were required to attend a seminar about how the climatic changes can affect forests around the world. I also learn that trees can migrate! When the professor said that the first time I laughed but then I realized he was being serious. The thing is that trees move toward more suitable areas over long periods of time. He said they move about 300miles in 2000 years (and I thought I was slow).

And the weather, it’s been so perfect lately, students have started to study outside or at least made an effort to do so. People are all over the place now, making campus look lively and fresh. I am looking forward to this weekend with a little more excitement than usual.

Hopefully I can do something absolutely fun.
