An* Eventful* Friday*
As always, this friday started out quiet and peaceful with a hope that it will soon be the weekend. I was up at 6:30 AM! Seriously who does that?? I got to work at about 7:55 AM, still in a daze from not being completely awake. I expected it to be yet another ordinary Friday. I did wake up when I saw Erica wearing the same exact shirt that I was wearing.
As I write this blog halfway through my day, I think that I have had a very fun day. One of our admissions representative’s wives baked us some delicious banana bread. I had that for breakfast and that made things better already. Then I went out to lunch with two of my good friends at the Normandy (our campus restaurant). I had baked potato soup, YUMM…
The admissions office decided that since all of us have worked an entire month into the summer, we all deserved to have a treat from Dairy Queen. So we compiled a list of things that people wanted and took off. The one thing that I didn’t appreciate about this trip to Dairy Queen was the pouring rain and I did not like it when I got wet. Anyway, Sean and I drove over and got everyone a treat. We were pretty wet by the time we made it back. We did manage to safeguard our precious desserts though.
Tonight we are having a going away party for a couple of people who are leaving for the summer. Few people are cooking. I am really excited to try new kinds of food. I haven’t decided if I want to try and make something but I just might! Even if I did want to make something, I wouldn’t know what to make. We are also going to go watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End tonight YAY! One of my friends also wanted to try on a Salwar Kameez which is a traditional Indian outfit. I am looking forward to seeing how she looks in Indian clothing.
Overall I thing I have managed to start off my weekend with a BANG! Hopefully it continues to be that way.
