A wet registration…
This past week has been wonderfully busy and I am exhausted! I wouldn’t call it a fantastic week, because really, it wasn’t. I am writing this blog at 10:36 AM only because I am sick and sick of being sick. I hate how stuffy and drowsy I feel, when in fact I should be jumping up and down with joy because of freshman registration! I have been looking forward to this week since the beginning of work this summer. I was excited about getting to meet a whole bunch of new students. All I can do now is sneeze and look like I just got out of bed, and I don’t feel great either!
I blame it all on the rain! If there had been no rain and had I not had wet feet yesterday, I would not have been sick. I was so sick last night that I went to bed at say 8:30 PM (way to early for a college student). I tried watching ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ but I fell asleep during that too.I think it must have been the southern drawl which is a significant part of the movie. Everyone keeps telling me how I need to find a cure for my “sleeping sickness”- falling asleep when I am not supposed to. Tuesday was absolutely boring, I couldn’t think of anything to do except read my boring book! Registration on Monday was wonderful; it was a nice sunny day with a lot of humidity.
On Sunday we (a few friends) went out for Indian food. I was reluctant to go because I eat Indian food at home every day but I absolutely loved the food at ‘Passage to India’. It was probably because they had so many varieties of north Indian food. I also watched ‘X-Men 2’ and I have to admit that I liked it. I also played tennis at the Concordia courts till 10:30 PM; it was a lot of fun.
Although it sounds like this past week was busy and unfabulous, when I come to think of it, it was fun and exciting. Except for all the rain we have gotten in the last two days…
