Valley Fair
My life has been getting increasingly boring in the last couple of weeks. That probably explains why I haven’t thought about writing a blog for a really long time. I apologize. I just didn’t know what I would do if things didn’t get a little more exciting that there were last weekend. That’s when a few of my friends and I decided that we should go to valley fair!!!!!!
Having done nothing fun in the past few days-weeks, or having been to an amusement park since 8th grade, I was super excited. My dad and sister, who had been in India vacationing for the last month, decided that they were coming back a day later than planned. This messed up my entire schedule. I felt guilty enough that I would be leaving them right after they got here, but now since they were coming later I would have to go pick them up and NOT go to valley fair! OUTRAGEOUS!!! Luckily due to some problems at the Colombo, Sri Lanka they flew in a day earlier than planned which worked out perfectly for all of us.
Saturday morning on our way to valley fair, so many complications, that I don’t even want to mention them came up along the way letting us arrive at the fair only at 6pm. I was completely wiped out from the long drive. We went on all the roller coasters and none of them made me sick (THANK God for medication). I lived. We went on pretty much all the rides that I usually wouldn’t try. After being on some of the rides, I felt like I was bouncing off my feet, weird? I think so. We went on one water ride because everyone else who went with me forgot to bring a change of clothes.
We did go on one water ride which drenched us completely making me happy for the rest of the night.
The swing- it was fun for the first 3 seconds and then I felt like I was going to die. I went on it twice and that was the end of my fun night. I felt like I was going to pass out any moment, but I didn’t. It was time to go home. We didn’t leave valley fair until midnight and our plan for Sunday was to go to the Mall of America, at 9 in the morning, yikes!
We went watched ‘The Transformers’ because we were so tired to go shopping. ‘The mind wanteth shopping, but the body refuseth’.
The movie was amazing; the special effects were really good and the fact that it had Shia Labeouf in it made it even better. To increase the weariness, our car broke down about 30 miles from Moorhead on our way back home and we were stranded, out in the middle of nowhere until 2 am. Hope none of you have to know what that feels like. I am tired just by listing some of the events of my weekend. I think this should keep you busy enough for a while. I’m sure all of you will find adventures of your own when you finally get to college.
