I have heard a lot of quotes and phrases this week from orientation this week (which is going fine thanks for asking). Anyway I just wanted to add my own two cents to the situation and share with what I call the blogosphere my favorite inspirational quote. I have a trunk that I painted in my dorm and on the top is a poem that was written on one of my graduation cards and I thought it made a lot of sense to me at the time. Maybe it will do the same for you. here it is:

People are often unreasonable and self centered.

FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.

BE KIND ANYWAY.

If you are honest, people may cheat you.

BE HONEST ANYWAY.

If you find happiness, people may be jealous.

BE HAPPY ANYWAY.

DO GOOD ANYWAY.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.

GIVE YOUR BEST ANYWAY.

For you see, in the end it is between you and God.

IT NEVER WAS BETWEEN YOU AND THEM ANYWAY.
