It’s Sophomore year already!
The start of a new year is always so eventful!
My year started with orientation. I have to say I had an amazing time. I sure was tired at the end of the week and ready for yet another vacation but getting to know fifteen freshmen who are outgoing and crazy definitely means some good times. I loved hanging out with new people for four days and not having to worry about any homework.
I’ve been keeping myself busy this year. I figured I had to try out new things this year or else it would be the ‘now or never situation’. So I decided to take organic chemistry and I like to call “OH CHEM”!!!! It’s a hard class but I like the stuff we’re learning. Sometimes I wonder if I’m crazy to put myself through all of that pressure but then I kinda need the class to get into medical school . I took my first test yesterday and I’m not even sure how I feel about it. Hopefully it went well.
I joined the Campus Service Commission- CSC and I am the program director for Churches United for the Homeless. It’s a good feeling when you know that you have helped someone by doing something as simple as sorting through clothes or helping to keep the facility clean!
I also started working at admissions part time again and of course the bookstore also. Last night we went to see the comedian on campus. It seemed like he had something against us cobbers! Was he funny or not? I’m not sure I want to answer that question. Also yesterday I went to one of our local elementary schools with the Chemistry Club and we did some really cool experiments. I touched a horse shoe crab!
That’s about it for now. Will keep you informed about other boring and eventful days of my life. ADIOS…
