From the Gulf Stream Water, to the Red Wood Forest, Where are Amy and I Going to Live?

Our LifeSo you might be thinking that I am an amazing musician.  And you may be thinking that I can create beautiful sounds that only the birds can sing.  And you are also probably wondering why I am complementing myself…well all I want to say is that I can play the recorder now (however I do not think that many people would agree with the statements about me being able to create amazing and beautiful sounds).

I am currently taking Music Education and this past week we had a recorder test.  Now if you are scratching your head and wondering what a recorder is, it is that instrument that you might have tried to learn how to play when you were in fourth or fifth grade.  But I can proudly say that I was able to play about six songs this past Monday, at least I was pretty proud.

This week is starting to become very hectic; because mid-semester break is coming up soon there are classes that are finishing, classes that will be starting…which means projects, papers and recorder tests. For those of you in school right now, I believe you would agree with me when I say that it is hard to believe school is already a quarter of the way over.  And as the year continues to go by it has become time for seniors to start to question what they are going to do when they graduate, for I know this has definitely been something on my mind.

As I have been thinking about this next step, I have also been looking at options to move to a different state.  I have lived in Minnesota my whole life, and I love it but I am also very excited to think that I can move anywhere when I graduate.  As I have been thinking about this, the teachers that my roommate and I are, we started to create a huge map of places that we could possibly live.  I have come to realize that one of the greatest feelings is riding on God’s good graces and living by faith.  As I graduate, that is what I want to do; I want to go where ever God would have me go.  It is exciting, a little nervous as well, but what a journey there is ahead.
