Fun with TIES!!!!
I don’t even know where to begin with my conversation about ties! I don’t say this because I am unsure of why I like ties, but rather that it has been a long time since I have been given the opportunity to write creatively and with my own delightful, quirky voice. Don’t get me wrong, the occasional Philosophy and Communication paper strengthen me as a formal writer and the occasional Spanish paper strengthens me as a bilingual writer but I never really get to write in my own voice. Everything is so strict and carefully structured that I feel like I could scream. I’m sad because I don’t get to use Paris Hilton quotations or movie synopsizes as my introduction! Love your high school papers; you’ll miss them when you come to college. But that is why I have this blog; here I can be giddy and wonderful with no instructions (besides being grammatically correct, of course).
Anywho, on to the task at hand! I love ties. They are silky. They are classy. As Paris Hilton, a fashionista, says, “The only rule is don’t be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in.” Obviously she is talking about the most awesome guy accessory in the world, the TIE! Really, the tie is awesome! Superheroes like Superman/Clark Kent are always wearing ties and have to loosen them in the obligatory slow-mo action shot. As shown by the picture, I have bunches of ties! I love them and that is all that needs to be said!
