My Weeknight Excursion to the Valley City Subway
Last week, my good friends Signe, Shannon, Melody went home with me to Valley City, ND to see the play my high school put on! The VCHS Drama department did a great job with their production of “Anything Goes”. Because of my close relationship with the drama department and my high school paper, I am writing a mini-review for my high school paper! It will be a lot of fun and I am honored that I was asked to do it. I love going back to see the shows because I was the student director and mentor for the junior high plays while I was a high school student. It is great to see all of the 7th and 8th grade kids that I worked with, grow up into seasoned performers! Warm Fuzzies!
The highlight of the trip was not the play or the highlights in my hair; it was making my own sub at Subway! As you may be aware, I am a certified sandwich artist and I am incredibly picky when it comes to my sandwiches so I rarely enjoy going to sandwichy restaurants. Being at home allowed me to make my own sub and it was fantastic. I got all of the perks of working at a Subway (making your own food) with out the pitfalls of annoying customers! It was a great trip!
I conclude this blog with a heartfelt Thanksgiving greeting! Thanksgiving is a beautiful holiday which I am thankful for! I can’t express to you how excited I am to go home and see my dogs and family and eat lots of turkey! Happy! Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Football! Turkey! Sorry, I just did a little too much word association. The moral of this tangent is “Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!”
