Here We Go Again!
Well its the most wonderful time of the year…CHRISTMAS!! And at Concordia, with Christmas time comes Christmas Concert! I know you might be imagining a few choirs getting together and singing Christmas carols around a monstrous Christmas tree, but it is so much more.
In actuality, it is over 400 Concordia students divided into 5 choirs and a full orchestra working for 2-3 months to learn and perfect solo pieces and mass choir pieces that will be performed for thousands of people in front of a gorgeous set. But we’re not the only one’s who work so hard.
In addition, you have several people behind the scenes designing the set, painting the mural, hanging lights, making sound checks, making sure everything is in its place, etc. While the music ensembles work for a few months, these behind the scenes work even during the summer! Anyway, this all is to say that a lot goes into putting on the Concordia College Annual Christmas Concert together.
