Dedication Required

ChoirBeing a member of the Concordia Concert Choir is a privilege. But with privilege also comes dedication and responsibility.

Well, Concert Choir showed their true colors the other day as they decided to schedule a rehearsal to go over parts of our solo songs before mass rehearsal. The rehearsal was scheduled for 6:30 and we were told to just pass the word along to any Concert Choir member that we ran across during the day.

I think that around 30 members actually showed up and we got to work right away on ‘Gaudete,’ a piece in about 7 different meters. We mostly worked on memorization and a few tricky note spots and even turned off the lights once to really listen to each other. We then left the piece to work on memorizing ‘Love Divine, All Love Excelling.’ All in all, it was a really great rehearsal and I’m sure bonded more of us together. Way to go Concert Choir!
