Rockin’ Internship

stuff-012.jpgAfter what didn’t turn out to be the experience I was looking for at a previous internship, I have landed safely at what I call my “home church” - Salem Evangelical Free Church. Let me just say this: I Love Salem! The Salem community is absolutely wonderful, and I’ve never really seen such a unique church as Salem. Lee Wuflestad is the worship leader there and he is a great mentor and site supervisor. Although I didn’t really start officially until the beginning of January, I have already learned so much and know that I will end up feeling much more prepared for the “real world.” In addition, I am realizing that I am coming into my own philosophy of worship, ministry, and leadership. I have already learned a ton of things regarding the organization of songs, choosing songs, and songs themselves. I have learned more about my guitar, and in fact, I become more and more motivated every time that I am there to be a better guitarist. I know that I could say a ton more about all the things that I am excited about and all the things that I am learning, but that would turn into the longest blog ever! Therefore, I might turn this into a mini-series of blogs (but not right in a row). So, stay tuned for another exciting episode of “Rockin’ Internship.”
