Easter Break!
Last week was pretty eventful when we started off. I was feeling great on Monday. I didn’t have any exams that week, not too much homework or anything to be worried about. Tuesday rolled around and I realized I was getting sick and I needed a cure, Fast! I thought it would just roll away and I would be fine but no I was so sick the Wednesday morning that I decided it would be best not to come to school.

Thursday and Friday I continued to be very sick. I had the worst of headaches because of my sinuses; I had lost my voice, my body hurt from not being able to sleep two nights in a row. Just when I thought this couldn’t get any worse, Friday rolled around and I decided it was time to go to the doctor. I was so sick that I was afraid to drive myself and thankfully since I live in Moorhead with my parents, my dad took me to the clinic. They kept us waiting for two long hours. I saw the physician for a brief three minutes and then the nurse came along and wanted to do a flu test on me. She said it would be slightly uncomfortable and asked me to stick my tongue on the roof of my mouth. Then out of nowhere she stuck a huge cutip up my nose and I couldn’t scream because my tongue was stuck! ARGH!!!
I don’t think I will ever believe anyone if they said what they were about to do was going to be slightly uncomfortable. I felt better just after seeing the doctor. He gave me some allergy medication and cough syrup and said, “Preeti, you have a viral infection, there is nothing I can do that will make you feel soon, you’re sickness is going to last for at least another 10 days”. And he wasn’t lying. I am still feeling slightly sick and praying that I will be better very soon. I did feel a lot better on Easter Sunday and when we were in church, I remembered that I was sick during the Christmas Eve service too L. I loved our service, it was short and sweet. For lunch my mom made some delicious stuffed Indian rotis (they are kind of like tortillas). And I slept through the rest of Sunday and half way through Monday.
The rest of Monday I spent thinking about my upcoming week and all the homework I had to do to make up for my week.
