Dress You Up

Brandon, Kris, Me, Marit, AndrewNow that I’m well into the swing of my last semester of school, I’m able to pretty easily pinpoint what exactly I’m going to miss about this grand institution of higher learning. I think I’ve been ready to be finished with papers, and tests, and class in general for a good year now, but what I’m not sure about is how I’m going to leave my big ol’ mess of extra-curriculars behind. One of those I’m going to miss is the theatre. (more…)

Start Me Up

Me and MayaThings I never thought would actually happen:
The Year 2008.

And now, here it is.
2008 is going to be a big year, not only for me, but my parents too. Not only will I be walking the line in May, but my younger brother will be graduating from high school as well. (Oh please, don’t tell me they didn’t plan that. They’ll be living the high life a year from now. The wall between my mine and my brother’s bedrooms will be knocked out to make room for a mini dance floor – complete with smoke machines, disco ball and jukebox. I’m no fool.) Theatre SeniorsAlright everyone, lets take one big deep breath in together.

Whew. Doesn’t that feel better?

Okay, so maybe that was more for my benefit than yours, but I sure am feeling a bit like I might need to remind myself to breath every so often. It’s go-go-go-go time for ol’ Hannah, and boy, do my roommates miss me more than ever.

Most of my time as of late has been devoted to a gal named Frances Frazier Comstock – she’s the one who provided the funds for our esteemed theatre on campus. I’m currently memorizing two scripts, and assistant house managing for the musical. Here comes the breakdown: (more…)

Just Can’t Get Enough

Andrea and ISo, I finally got around to laundry this week for the first time in almost a month.

Other things I’ve finally got around to doing?

Well, hello again friend! Nice to see you. Please don’t hate me. I love you. Come back, baby. I can change. I can change!

Concordia has been a different place since everyone came back. I felt a little over protective at first since I was here all summer, and then all these whippersnappers came back and acted like it was THEIR home. It’s mine! I never left! Feel my loyalty! (more…)

Into The Groove

Orientation Volunteers 2007Belated Labor Day greetings, all!

I hope everyone appreciated their last unofficial weekend of summer. I, along with the rest of Concordia, celebrated the esteemed holiday by returning for a second round of MWF classes with an extra side of web work. Delicious!

Actually, my Labor Day was one of the more relaxing days I’ve had since my move back onto campus more than two weeks ago. My campus living arrangements jump-started me immediately back into student mode and, after making my move and unpacking all night, I woke up for Orientation training. (more…)
